From our owner, Dr. Wayne Barnes Updated 3/19/2020 These are certainly challenging days we are living in at the moment. What we are experiencing from the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is unprecedented in scope. Everyone will be impacted in some way from this and our agency is monitoring the situation as it relates to all of our upcoming tours. We are staying in touch with our suppliers, hotels and tour operators, and should things change, we will let you know via mail, text and email, on a tour by tour basis.
The health and safety of our clients is our top priority. Due to the many closures and government-led shutdowns which multiple states are experiencing, the social distancing guidelines that are currently in place, and the uncertainty of how long these closures will last, we have canceled our spring tours through April. We are monitoring conditions for our tours in May, June and July and it is too early yet to know what will happen with our summer and fall tours.
Please be assured that if you have signed up for tours with us this year, your money is safe and should your tour be canceled due to what’s happening with the pandemic, you will receive a refund.
We do want you to be aware that tour refunds that are canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic will take longer to process. This is because we must wait to receive refunds from our suppliers and as you might imagine, they are processing many, many refunds and so there will be a slightly longer delay than what is typically the norm.
If your tour is cancelled, please consider that you also have the option to transfer your payment and apply it towards another tour later in the year, such as one of our many trips we’re offering in the fall or even to hold your spot in one of our tours for 2021.
At the time of this writing, we are currently holding regular office hours, Monday through Friday, from 9am-5pm, but that will likely change as this situation continues and as of right now, we are asking clients not to come to our office. Like with everything right now, these are challenging days for the travel and tourism industries, but as an agency that’s been in business for almost 40 years, I want to assure you that we have no plans to shut our doors.
We are here and we are working hard to assist all of our clients who travel with us, whether for group tours or personal trips. We have seen hard times before, such as in the days after 9/11, and I have full confidence that together, we will all get through this crisis just as we did with that one.
