- Day 1 - Monday, April 29 - Fort Smith, Arkansas - Early morning departure from Zachary through Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Alexandria and Shreveport. Overnight in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Day 2 - Tuesday, April 30 - Pawhuska/Bartlesville, Oklahoma – This morning we will enjoy a short drive into Pawhuska, Oklahoma, known for its Native American culture, and the Osage hills and prairie. Along the way we stop and visit the Fred Drummond home in Hominy, home to one of the top ranching families in the U.S. Lunch on your own at one of the downtown restaurants and then we make our way to the Mercantile, owned by Food Network Star Ree Drummond/aka Pioneer Woman. Enjoy an afternoon of shopping, pastries and coffee at the bakery, and a special included dinner featuring recipes from the Pioneer Woman herself. Overnight in Bartlesville.
Day 3 - Wednesday, May 1 - Pawhuska/McAlester – Today we head back to Pawhuska where we visit the Ben Johnson Cowboy Museum, and get a taste of the history of the west. Next we enjoy a tour of the Drummond Lodge (subject to change per Lodge tour schedule), located on the Drummond Ranch. The Lodge is the Drummond family’s family guest house which also serves as the production location for Ree’s Food Network show. Tours are offered when the show isn’t being produced there. After our visit to the Lodge, we head south. Overnight in McAlester, Oklahoma.
Day 4 - Thursday, May 2 - Waco –This morning we ride south where we’ll stop at South Fork Ranch, site of the hit series, Dallas. We’ll enjoy an included lunch and tour Ewing Mansion, see the gun that shot J.R., Lucy’s Wedding Dress and much more. We’ll later enjoy a brief driving tour of Baylor University, the world’s largest Baptist University and a stop at Baylor’s Armstrong Browning Library, home to the largest collection of Victorian poets Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s life and works and also the largest collection of secular stained glass. Overnight in Waco.
Day 5 - Friday, May 3 - Waco – This morning we travel the “Magnolia Trail” including shopping at Magnolia Market at the Silos, checking out the gardens and, weather permitting, lunch on your own at one of the numerous food trucks at the market, offering a variety of choices. This afternoon we visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, with historic memorabilia and displays. Dr. Pepper originated at the Morrison’s Old Corner Drug Store in Waco. This evening, we’ll enjoy a river cruise down the Brazos River where we’ll enjoy seeing beautiful landscape and wildlife, as well as some of Waco’s iconic sights. After the cruise, we'll enjoy a farewell dinner. Overnight in Waco.
Day 6 - Saturday, May 4 - Home – After breakfast, we make our way home.
