- Day 1, Saturday, June 1 – LaGrange, GA – Motor coach from Zachary and Baton Rouge, Denham Springs and Hammond to LaGrange, GA for overnight.
Day 2, Sunday, June 2 – Durham, NC – Today we travel through the serene flatlands of South Carolina and into the rolling hills of North Carolina. Overnight in Durham, home to Duke University, numerous tech companies and research institutions, and the site of the largest troop surrender and the effective end of the Civil War.
Day 3, Monday, June 3 – Virginia Beach – This morning we tour Duke University, one of the nation's premier educational and research institutions. Later this evening, we enjoy a cruise on the Elizabeth River. Overnight in Virginia Beach.
Day 4, Tuesday, June 4 – Nags Head – A day of Outer Banks sightseeing is on the agenda. Today we'll drive south to Kitty Hawk where we'll visit the Wright Brothers National Memorial and explore the museum and workshop. Marvel at Kill Devil Hills, a vast range of enormous sand dunes. After lunch we continue down the Outer Banks along the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and see the famous Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (tallest operating in North America at 210 feet). Overnight in Nags Head.
Day 5, Wednesday, June 5 – Fayetteville – Today we drive to Fayetteville, home of the 82nd Airborne, where we'll visit the US Army Airborne and Special Ops Museum. Later this afternoon, we'll stop at the Cape Fear Botanical Garden, a natural beauty situated on an impressive 80 acres that features specialty gardens, nature trails, and waterways. Overnight in Fayetteville.
Day 6, Thursday, June 6 – Auburn, AL – Today we enjoy a travel day as we make our way back home and a farewell dinner this evening. Overnight in Auburn.
Day 7, Friday, June 7– Home - Today we arrive home with great memories of a beautiful trip!
