Day 1 - Monday, March 20 –Chattanooga, TN – Motor coach from Zachary, Baton Rouge, Hammond, Meridian, Birmingham and on to Chattanooga, our home for two nights.
Day 2, Tuesday, March 21 - Chattanooga – This morning, we explore the “Scenic City” with a city tour, a walk across the Walnut Street Bridge and much more. Today we will enjoy a cruise down the Tennessee River. Lunch included. (B, L) Day 3, Wednesday, March 22–Nashville – Today we journey into Middle Tennessee and to Nashville. This morning we’ll spend time at the Hermitage, the home of President Andrew Jackson, known as “the People’s President.” Walk through Jackson’s life, explore a beautiful, historic Tennessee farm and experience an important piece of Nashville and our nation. This afternoon, we’ll arrive at our downtown Nashville hotel, our home for 2 nights. Tonight, we see the Grand Ole Opry, an American icon. (B) Day 4, Thursday, March 23– Nashville - This morning we’ll do a city tour, walk through the historic Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Parthenon in Centennial Park. Tonight you’ll want to explore the many downtown restaurants and music venues. (B) Day 5, Friday, March 25– Memphis - Morning departure and lunch in Jackson, Tennessee at the world famous Old Country Store Restaurant at the Casey Jones Village. Enjoy time shopping or ice cream. Tonight, enjoy free time on Beale Street in Memphis for music and food. Overnight in Memphis at the historic Peabody Hotel. (B) Day 6 - Saturday, March 26 - Memphis - Today we tour Graceland, home of Elvis Presley. Time to explore at your leisure this afternoon. (B) Day 7 - Sunday, March 27 –Home – On our way home, we stop along the way at Cock on the Walk for an included lunch. This historic restaurant, famous for its catfish and chicken dishes, offers a casual rustic atmosphere with service personnel dressed in period attire of the riverboat era. Then it's home this evening, with great memories of a wonderful trip! (B, L) |
