Why We Charge a Planning Fee
A little background: In the early days of the travel industry, clients could book with a travel planner or travel advisor "free" because the travel professional received healthy commissions from the airlines, vendors and other travel suppliers they worked with.
This is no longer the case. Airlines no longer pay commissions, and many vendors and suppliers that work with travel professionals also offer those same products and services to clients directly.
When you hire one of our travel specialists to book your trip, you do so for our experience and for our service. And the planning fees we charge cover your trip from beginning to end, and everything in between - so even after the planning is completed and the bookings are made, if something goes wrong, before the trip starts, or halfway through, your travel advisor will be there to help. We aren't working for the supplier - we're working for YOU.
Our non-refundable planning fees start at $100 and may be more, depending on the length and complexity of the trip you're requesting/ Our travel advisors consult with you, get a sense of what you're looking for and will discuss options with you and what you can expect during the planning process. If you wish to move forward with the booking, you'll pay the planning fee, which confirms the trip and allows us to get started helping you plan a wonderful experience.
