Day 1 – Motor coach from Zachary, Baton Rouge, Denham Springs, Hammond, and on to Nashville for our 3-night stay at the world-famous Gaylord Opryland Resort. This resort has nine acres of atrium-covered gardens and walkways.
Day 2 - Today we visit the famous Wild Horse Saloon for line-dancing lessons, country music and a delicious included lunch. The afternoon is free to explore the resort or ride a Delta River Flatboat at your leisure. Tonight we will attend the “Grand Ole Opry” at the Grand Ole Opry House, the first venue built specifically as a home to the Grand Ole Opry in 1974. This is always a wonderful musical experience. Day 3 - Free time this morning at your leisure to enjoy the hotel or go shopping at the adjacent Opry Mills mall. This afternoon we will enjoy “I Love Christmas Movies”, an immersive pop-up experience featuring over 13 fully immersive scenes complete with replicas of film props, audio clips and more. There is also an outdoor Nativity display, crafts and gifts galore, lavishly decorated trees and nearly two million Christmas lights. This evening at the Opryland Hotel we attend a Country Christmas Dinner & Show featuring Grand Ole Opry and Country Music Hall of Fame members The Oak Ridge Boys. We will enjoy a traditional holiday dinner with all the trimmings, while listening to their classic harmonies to holiday classics. Day 4 - We leave Nashville and return home with many wonderful memories. |
