Day 1 - Memphis – Motor coach from Zachary, Baton Rouge and Hammond to Jackson, MS, where we enjoy an included lunch. Afternoon ride through North Mississippi to our hotel in downtown Memphis, our home for two nights.
Memphis is home to two of America’s greatest musical achievements – the blues and Elvis Day 2 - Memphis– Our morning platinum tour of Graceland, home of Elvis Presley, includes the house, planes and museum. We enjoy an included lunch at Graceland restaurant. This afternoon we walk the legendary Beale Street, one of America’s most famous musical streets. We see the March of the Peabody Ducks, which is performed at 5 pm, 365 days a year and has been taking place for almost 90 years in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel. Day 3 - Tupelo, Mississippi – Today we tour northern Mississippi. In Tupelo we visit the Birthplace of Elvis – house and museum. We will also visit the Amish area of Pontotoc for a tour and some shopping. Day 4 – Morning tour of Oxford with William Faulkner’s home, Rowan Oak, and Ole Miss before returning home by motor coach, arriving home late evening with wonderful memories of the trip we’ve enjoyed. |
