Day 1, Monday, June 12 – Little Rock, AR – Morning departure from Zachary, Baton Rouge, Hammond and routing through Jackson, MS with stops along the way at quilting shops. Overnight in Little Rock.
Day 2, Tuesday, June 13 - Branson, MO – After a day on the road, stopping at quilting shops along the way, we'll stop at Quilts and Quilts, famous for its quilt displays and a one-stop shop for the devoted quilter. After a late lunch on your own, explore more of Branson's downtown area or rest at the hotel. Tonight, we enjoy an included dinner and a show. Overnight in Branson. (B, D) Day 3, Wednesday, June 14- Kansas City, MO – As we make our way to Kansas City, we'll take some time to stop and explore quilt and fabric shops along the way. Overnight in Kansas City. (B) Day 4, Thursday, June 15 - Kansas City, MO – Today we visit the "Disneyland of Quilting", the Missouri Star Quilting Company made famous by YouTube quilting sensation, Jenny Doan. Make your way through building after building filled with all kinds of fabrics and quilting supplies and shop in 12 different quilt shops right on Main Street, each featuring a different fabric theme. Overnight in Kansas City. (B) Day 5, Friday, June 16 – Kansas City Quilting Show – The 2023 Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival is one of the premier quilting festivals in the country. Enjoy a variety of quilting classes and lectures, a judged quilt competition and a non-judged quilt display presented by the 17 local quilt guilds that manage the festival. Leave inspired from seeing all of the wonderful and beautiful quilts, quilting techniques and more. Overnight in Kansas City. (B) Day 6, Saturday, June 17 - Pawhuska, OK - This morning we'll drive to Pawhuska, Oklahoma and visit the Pioneer Woman's Mercantile, with an included lunch featuring recipes from the Pioneer Woman herself. After a little shopping, or maybe pastries and coffee from the bakery, we'll leave for our final night on the road in Fort Smith, Arkansas. (B, L) Day 7, Sunday, June 18 – Home – Today we head home with our suitcases full of fabrics and quilting supplies, ready to start new projects. (B) |
