Price is per person & includes airfare, fees, taxes and fuel surcharges (approximately $800 and subject to change), superior first class hotels, full sightseeing, 2 meals per day (full breakfast and dinner daily), 2 special lunches, transfers, baggage handling at hotels, taxes and tips, including driver and guide (more than $700). Day 1 - Depart Baton Rouge for an overseas flight.
Day 2 - Amman, Jordan – Evening arrival in Amman, Jordan. Transfer to our hotel for overnight.
Day 3 - Sea of Galilee – Motorcoach across the Jordan River. Visit ancient Jericho, the oldest city in the world and where Joshua “fought the Battle of Jericho”. Then, up the Jordan Valley to Tiberius, on the shore of the Sea of Galilee for 2 nights.
Day 4 - Sea of Galilee – We take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee and visit Mt. of Beatitudes, Caesarea Philippi, Mt. Hermon, Jordan River headwaters and Capernaum, the focal point of Jesus’ Galilee ministry.
Day 5 - Caesarea– Morning baptism in the Jordan River for those who desire. Tour Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. Cross the Armageddon Valley. Visit the ancient fortress of Megiddo and Elijah at Mt. Carmel.
Day 6 - Jerusalem – Tour biblical Caesarea where Paul was a prisoner and Cornelius was converted. See the aqueduct. Along the Mediterranean Sea to Tel Aviv and ancient port of Joppa where Jonah sailed away and where Peter had his rooftop vision. On to Jerusalem.
Day 7 - Jerusalem – (The order of sightseeing in Jerusalem may be altered). Enjoy a spectacular view of Jerusalem from the top of Mt. of Olives, walk down Palm Sunday Road and visit the Garden of Gethsemane. Afternoon visit to Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, and Shepherd’s Field.
Day 8 - Jerusalem - Visit the Old Walled City, Temple area, Wailing Wall, Pilate’s Judgment Hall, Via Dolorosa, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Pool of Bethesda. Visit in & around the Temple Mount and Dead Sea Scrolls Museum. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane, the crucifixion site and Garden Tomb. Share in a special Lord’s Supper (communion) service.
Day 9 - Jerusalem – Dead Sea – Down the Jericho Road to the Dead Sea. Tour the top of Masada Fortress Palace of Herod. Visit the site of the Dead Sea Scrolls Cave. Time for a swim (float) in the Dead Sea. See the Temple Wall Tunnel, model city.
Day 10 - Amman - Morning departure to the Jordan River Crossing. Visit beyond Bethany baptism site. View the Holy Land from the top of Mt. Nebo, as Moses did. Special lunch. Hotel rooms in Amman for evening rest.
Day 11 - Home – Early morning flight for home, arriving in Baton Rouge early evening.
